Non-governmental organization Youth Power, together with the members of the Budi muško Club Mostar, organized an action on 8 March – on the occasion of the International women’s day with the aim of showing success and achievements of women through history. The action was conducted in the streets of Mostar in the morning and afternoon hours, where BMK members photographed with passers-by and shared messages with the achievements of women through history.

In addition to women from all over the world, great attention has been paid to women from Bosnia and Herzegovina who have left a great mark in their work and have always been a step ahead of their time in history, and through their work and dedication in society made great changes. Also, they shared information brochures with passers-by that contained informations on what the International women’s day was, as the International women’s day emerged, the history behind it.

In addition to this activity, the non-governmental organization ” Youth Power” and “Budi Muško Klub” as part of the activities of the organization, in cooperation with the secondary schools, will organize activities within the promotion of women’s rights and achievements. This activity has been implemented within the project “Promoting healthier lifestyles among youth in BiH by challenging gender stereotypes”. This project is supported by the Swiss Government and the OAK Foundation and is implemented with the support of CARE International, Balkans.
