Representative of the Swedish Development and Assistance Agency Johan Norqvist pointed out that the fight against violence against women is something that must be constantly worked out, expressing hope that these activities will bring some positive changes.
“Gender-based violence is a problem for all of us and I think it is very important to change attitudes in order to get a society in which greater equality is in place,” said Norqvist.
After the press conference, volunteers from Youth Power NGOs organized a street action where they tried to attract people’s attention by trying to send a strong message that violence was never a solution, that we should fight for the protection of human rights and against all forms of violence.
