Youth Power, on Friday, 5 October, organized one-day training for the presidents of the student councils and their deputies from high schools in the Mostar area. More than 30 young people participated in training. During the day, young people had the opportunity to work on identifying the needs of their student councils, planning activities for the current school year, and creating different forms of cooperation between the councils of different school students. An important part of the training is the presentation of the Y program – Program for the Promotion of Healthy Lifestyles among the youth by challenging gender stereotypes.

Youth Power organized training in cooperation with the City of Mostar, the Upbringing, Education, Youth and Sports Department. The training was organized based on the established need to raise the skills and knowledge levels of young people participating in the councils of students in their secondary schools. Youth Power saw the need to work with informal groups and their empowerment for further action, and this one-day training was implemented through that strategic component.

The activity was implemented as part of the project “Promoting healthier lifestyles among youth in BiH by challenging gender styles”. This project is supported by the Swiss Government and the OAK Foundation and is implemented with the support of CARE International, Balkans.
