20 young people have participated in open conference titled “Escape from Marginalisation”, organised on 23rd of September in Goteborg, Sweden. During the event they had a chance to learn more about our work and projects and see what we’ve been developing in last period as part of the project Escape from Marginalisation.

On a cloudy Wednesday, Ung Kraft had gathered 20 youth workers, volunteers and young people from all around the city and different partner organisations. In some cases, participants of this event came from across the different cities in Sweden. This day was dedicated to interesting conference tackling the issue of marginalisation and innovative youth work approaches in prevention of marginalisation.

This multiplier open conference “Escape from Marginalisation” was organised in Gothenburg, Sweden and had two parts: open conference part and practical example of a low-cost escape room for inclusion.

We started the event with the registration of participants and welcome words from our director. After that, participants had a chance to learn more about the project Escape from marginalisation, see which materials have been developed as part of this project and had a chance to ask concrete questions concerning the project topic and project itself. Networking and cocktails followed the Q&A session of the event. In the second part of the conference participants had a chance to participate in low-cost escape room. At the end, our director had a pleasure to thank to all of the participants and close the event.

With this event Ung Kraft have encouraged youth workers for organising creative and innovative digital tools and youth work activities with gamification methodology based on affordable, low-cost and efficient adventure/escape rooms among mainstream and marginalised youngsters in our communities.

More young people are now attracted to our youth work activities and have shown interest to become part of our activities and try to organise escape rooms tackling the current issues of our local communities. We have even arranged to organise first meeting with 7 youngsters in the beginning of October. They are motivated to engage in our work and create new ideas and projects; directed into developing innovative solutions for the needs and issues of youth in our local communities.
