Join us on a captivating journey as we delve into good practices in refugee health. The “A Look at Good Practices in Refugee Health” project has brought together professionals from the youth, health, and migration fields, igniting a collective drive to enhance institutional capacity.

Our adventure began in the lively city of Lisbon, Portugal, where we gathered for an engaging meeting filled with insightful discussions and interactive games. Together, we fostered collaboration and exchanged knowledge, setting the stage for a transformative experience.

During an enlightening online meeting, the ADFP Foundation shared invaluable insights about their esteemed university, providing a deeper understanding of their work. To add a touch of enchantment, we ventured into the mesmerizing world of movie studios, where we were immersed in the magic of filmmaking. From sound rooms to cinema spaces, and even costume and editing rooms, the behind-the-scenes exploration left us speechless.

But our journey didn’t end there. We continued to uncover inspiring practices within the project. Our exploration led us to the charming town of Sintra, where we visited two organizations dedicated to supporting migrants. Their commitment to education and offering robotics and 3D simulation classes in schools left a lasting impression.

Additionally, we had the privilege of visiting the remarkable Central Mosque in Lisbon, delving into its rich history and significance. Each step we take deepens our understanding and fuels our dedication to fostering inclusivity and promoting refugee health.

As our six-day trip in Lisbon draws to a close, we reflect on the vibrant streets, the warmth of the sun, and the positive energy that surrounded us. Our adventure took us to Belem, a captivating museum district. Guided by a knowledgeable expert, we immersed ourselves in the rich history of Portugal, creating memories that will forever resonate within us. With this visit, we concluded our journey as part of the “A Look at Good Practices in Refugee Health” project.

This project is a thrilling endeavor aimed at strengthening professionals in the fields of youth, health, and migration. Our focus lies in sharing and learning from exemplary practices in refugee health, policies, and integration. Together, we are working towards a more inclusive and compassionate society.
