Non-governmental organization Youth Power together with volunteers, pupils of Fifth Gymnasium Sarajevo and a group of geography students Utrecht successfully completed another painting activity in Sarajevo on 17 May 2019. This activity was implemented under the ACT – Artist Create Together project, which aims to develop prospects through culture, build a strong international relationship and stimulate cultural, social and economic change. Youth Power, together with the organization Master Peace and six other partner organizations, is implementing these activities in Europe.

The students had the opportunity to learn more about ACT project, about Master Peace organization and the organization’s activities, and they also participated in interactive workshops and various games where they had the opportunity to meet, exchange informations on art and cultural situations in their countries.

In addition to drawing and painting the wall, another activity was done –  storytelling where students made short videos based on their personal stories. The goal of this activity is to gather 160 personal stories of young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, save them and share them in  50 years.

The first two walls Youth Power  has done in Mostar, together with the members of the Be Man Club Mostar and students from the Phoenix High School. They also worked on arranging  of the school yard of the middle school of Economics Jozo Martinović.

Project Artist Create Together is being implemented in five European countries in duration of two years. The whole project is aimed at young people as a target group, they are considered to have the potential to change established practices and negative perceptions in society.
