Youngsters from Be Men Club Mostar, which is operated by Youth Power, are on Thursday 26.05. organized a volleyball tournament on the occasion of World Sports Day. The tournament gathered 100 young people divided into 8 teams.

Youth Power, as part of cooperation with partner high schools in the HNK / HNŽ area, and as part of the regular activities of the Be Man Club Mostar organized a one-day volleyball tournament on the occasion of World Sports Day, which is celebrated on 25.05. every year.

As part of our work on promoting healthier lifestyles and prevention of violence, we organized the tournament in cooperation with partner high schools in the area of HNK / HNŽ.

The teams were made up of an equal number of girls and boys, sending a message about the importance of gender equality; on and off the field.

The tournament was attended by two teams by be Man Club Mostar, and teams in front of the following partner high schools: Gymnasium Mostar, Secondary School of Mechanical Engineering, Secondary School of Electrical Engineering “Salih-Salko Curic” Mostar, Secondary School of Economics and Catering and Tourism in Mostar, Mostar Polytechnic School and Civil Engineering High School.

Secondary School of Economics and Catering and Tourism Mostar won the first place, followed up by Be Man Club Mostar team that took second place and at third place Gymnasium Mostar.

The activity was implemented within the project Young Men Initiative III (YMI): “Promoting Healthier Lifestyles and Decrease of Interpersonal Violence among Youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina by Challenging Gender Stereotypes III“, supported by the Swiss Government, Oak Foundation, Austrian Development Agency and CARE International Bosnia and Herzegovina.
