Summary:

There have been waves of growing polarisation, discrimination, xenophobia, islamophobia, cyber violence against women, and regional and political rivals in the past five years. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic has presented further challenges, particularly in digitalisation, proving the need to be equipped and ready for the digital world. Without a doubt, digital skills have become crucial for youth development in today’s world. DARE 4.0 project aims to equip 1500 young people (18-30), young entrepreneurs and youth workers in Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, Lebanon, Tunisia and Morocco with skills and competencies to accelerate the digital transformation of the economy and society.

It aims to enhance intercultural dialogue, and foster diversity and innovation while bridging the digital divide, promoting inclusion and participation. The project aims to foster the development of interpersonal and intercultural skills, including critical and analytical thinking, creativity and learning.

The partnership aims to see a future where being different is a plus, caring about the other is the new cool, going digital is a normality. To achieve this future, the COO and partners have designed the project building on their experiences with young people, the results of implemented projects and today’s needs of youth. Through DARE 4.0, a total of 120 young people, young entrepreneurs, and youth workers will participate in 10 online facilitated dialogues tackling intercultural and digital topics. These sessions (2hr each) foster respectful and mutual comprehension, tolerance and intercultural dialogue and cohesion and promote learning on digital A total of 60 participants will receive 5 Interactive Open Online Courses (IOOCs) that will support the development of digital skills and competencies.
