Masterpeace movement
MasterPeace started as an initiator for equality between the East and West with its award-winning co-founders who joined after a long line of successful team work, social entrepreneurs Ilco Van Der Linde (Netherlands) and Mohamed Helmy (Egypt). After their success in 2006. where Ilco and Mohamed stood on stage next to the pyramids where thousands of students participated in their “Dance4Life” event by breaking the silence on HIV and AIDS through music.
This successful co-operation between the East and West caused the hunger for more so they promised that they will continue working together to engage people in social changes. In 2009. This ambitious duo dreamed of creating a global peacebuilder movement. Their goal is to bring millions of people to use their talents and energy for something good.
Day by day artists, social entrepreneurs and companies join to the movement and dream become reality with the initiatives that are led by thousands of volunteers. Mohamed and Ilco: This dream is not ours. We really hope you feel invited to become a co-owner of MasterPeace!
MasterPeace is an award-winning nonprofit and non-governmental peace movement that currently exists in more than 40 countries around the world. MasterPeace was established in 2010 with the aim of encouraging people around the world to use their talents and enrichment in building peace and communion. Through music, sport and art, MasterPeace will help guide you through a more sustainable world with less (armed) conflicts.
MasterPeace is focused on the active participation of people around the world in building peace. This world has 7+ billion people. We look at them as 7+ billion sources of talent and energy. To achieve this, MasterPeace offers a platform for a large community of Nelson; social entrepreneurs, volunteers, bloggers, journalists, musicians, companies and active citizens for association and assistance with the actions. By 2013., MasterPeace was awarded by UN Secretary – General Ban Ki-moon for peace-building innovations on behalf of the UNCA-e. ( United Nations Correspondents Association)
Masterpeace clubs
MasterPeace clubs empower and mobilize more individuals to get involved actively in building peace and limiting conflicts at the local level. These clubs work on a simple model that is adjusted to small groups of people, such as social enterprises, groups of students, or even groups of friends who want to maintain peace.
MasterPeace club is used as a platform for encouraging and promoting the initiative to build peace and comes from the passion and dream of a better future of the whole world.
MasterPeace believes in the power of the action, no matter how large and it offers freedom to any active “Nelson” group to create projects, programs or actions for which those group truly believes it will encourage change in their community. Nelsons don’t join to be part of the organization , they join to be part of common creation.
